A routine day in my life

Coming to office is the most arduous task I undergo daily. Seeing my boss’s frowning face and struggling to meet the deadlines, pale in comparison.

Let me tell you about the plight of us poor commuters who come by the private buses to office on a daily basis. After completing our morning chores, we rush, dash and race to the bus stop only to find our dear bus leaving the stop gaily waving at us! :) And then the interminable wait for the next bus begins.

The bus comes loaded with people, people and more people. It makes me wonder whether the entire population of Kochi chose this particular bus to travel this day. I hop onto the bus with great difficulty and scramble to find a place to plant both my feet securely. And that is exactly when it starts.

The pushing and the shoving and the jostling and the stamping.

I find myself getting assaulted from all sides.

:X
And that is when I get this irresistible urge to laugh as I spot two ladies scrambling for the same seat resulting in one lady seated on top of the other. The quicker one manages to snag the prized seat. I guess Darwin’s principle of ‘Survival of the Fittest’ does have its modern day implications too!!!

After a 60 minute ordeal, I reach office, totally spent and exhausted. My clothes are all crumpled and creased and I wonder why I even bother pressing them religiously each morning!

I then march to my office with the brightest smile on my face, ready to take on the world.

À bientôt :)
